The garden we showed you in issue 94 has lots of flowers for summer nectar. Some of them, like the parsley and asters, also feed the caterpillars.
But these foundation plantings, while they do have some flowers, provide lots of food for caterpillars. Sure, you’ll see some chewed leaves, but you don’t want to use any insecticides. Remember those pesky caterpillars will turn into beautiful butterflies in just a few weeks!
